9GOATS BLACK OUT Disband

"Visual Kei band 9GOATS BLACK OUT announced that after 5 years of band activity they will disband in the beginning of 2013. 

Compared to this information it may be only small consolation but there is also good news from the band: They announced that they will release a final album. More information isn’t available yet but we will inform you as soon as they reveal details about it. 

9GOATS BLACK OUT didn’t give any reasons for disbanding yet. They only revealed the dates for their last performances: After giving three lives in Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo in January they will disband after their last live on February 9th at Akasaka BLITZ." -- JPopAsia

Nakashima Mika theme song for Resident Evil

Singer Nakashima Mika who appeared in Resident Evil: Afterlife will be making another appearance in the new Resident Evil: Retribution (2012). It has been announced that Mika 's new single "Ashita Sekai ga Owarunara" (If the world ended tomorrow) will be used as the theme song for the Japanese version.

Mikawa Kenichi had been appearing at the recording studio, and at one point when hearing about D=OUT's cover plans made the following comment: 

"It's not a joke when I am saying that they didn't have permission and selfishly started recording." Mikawa said. "However, even though I say they didn't have permission (after hearing it), they have chosen a good song, so I am supporting this!"

"At first I was really nervous, but when Mikawa found a liking for our (version) of 'Sasoriza no Onna' I was really happy." Vocalist Kouki admitted. "I would like to perform together with Mikawa at some point if possible...maybe?"

KISAKI's Hospitalization + Answer To Missing Blog Entries

"Recently it was reported that KISAKI, owner of UNDER CODE PRODUCTIONS, and bassist of Lin, has been hospitalized. It was said that he was rushed to the hospital because he awoke in pain and was repeatedly vomiting blood.
However, there has been a lot of confusion about why Kisaki has deleted over 5,000 personal entries on his blog. It was reported that he had posted a photo of paper cranes he had received from his fans during his stay in the hospital. A Japanese fan had recognized the image from searching "paper cranes" in Google image search.
After fans learned about the images, more fans had revealed that this wasn't the only image Kisaki had stolen, in fact he had used other photos from Google and passed them off as his own. An entire liste had been posted up of all the fake images that he had made, there seemed to have been 10 to 20 entires.
While in the hospital, Kisaki had also taken a photo of food he had eaten, but it was also found that this too was a stolen photo. There was even an entry about his car being broken into, but the photo on the entry was also proven to be stolen as well. So it is no wonder why a great deal of fans are questioning rather or not Kisaki was even hospitalized, despite the blog entry from Lin's vocalist Riku.
Kisaki removed almost 5,000 of his personal blog entries due to the Japanese fan's figuring out that he had stolen images. It has left a loft of fans confused and perhaps even angry. It is believed he carried out with the decision to delete the entries to avoid any future issues that may come up." -- JpopAsia

Hello Kitty X KISS Toilet paper

Sanrio has revealed that its crossover with the American rock band KISS is branching out to selling collaborative toilet paper. Sanrio had revealed its first KISS crossover goods in February — a set of four Hello Kitty plushes modeled after the four KISS band members on the cover of their Dynasty album. The toilet paper collaborative items will use those same images and print them on the toilet paper itself.

Gene Simmons, the front man for KISS, revealed last June that he met with executives to discuss, in his words, "a KISS-Hello Kitty worldwide deal. Wow." Simmons plans to sell the Hello Kitty merchandise at the band's concert venues, and the band is considering developing the collaboration overseas as well.

As Sanrio's most recognizable character, Hello Kitty has already joined forces with the rock band X Japan to create "Visual-Kei Kitty." The artist duo Mad Barbarians (Unko-san) designed official Hello Kitty Zombie Friends for Kitan Club's mascot lineup last September. ASCII Media Works' Tokyo Kawaii Magazine has been selling T-shirts and rubber straps that combine Hello Kitty with Hatsune Miku and other virtual idol characters from Crypton Future Media.

Simmons himself played Jack ill Dark, the "Emperor" of rock, in the live-action film adaptation of Kiminori Wakasugi's Detroit Metal City comedy manga.

Tokyo's Namco Namja Town has announced that they will serve a menu inspired by the Gekijō-ban Tiger & Bunny -The Beginning- film from August 3 to November 18 of this year. Namja Town is an indoor theme park in Tokyo's Ikebukuro ward with dozens of mini shops. As they have done for other anime and game titles in the past, these shops will have different dishes inspired by the Tiger & Bunny series.

Versailles hiatus

Versaillesを応援してくださっている皆さまへ

本日､Versaillesの活動休止のご報告をさせて頂きます｡

バンド結成5周年を迎え､今後の活動を模索するなかで､メンバー個々の成長の為、

そしてそれぞれが形態に縛られる事なく自身の作り出す音楽と向き合う為に

Versaillesは2012年いっぱいをもちまして活動を休止いたします。

結成以来、薔薇をテーマに活動してまいりましたが、

まさに"薔薇とは何か?"を示す5周年記念シングル「ROSE」完成を機に

メンバー全員で出した答えです。

9月には活動休止前最後のアルバムをリリースし、その後全国ツアーを周り、

12月20日のNHKホール公演をもってVersaillesは活動休止に入ります。

残された活動、そしてこれからのメンバーそれぞれの新しい挑戦を暖かく見守ってくださいますようお願い申し上げます。

We would like to announce that Versailles has decided to stop all activities by the closing of the year.

Being our 5th anniversary -- and without a clear direction heading into the future – we have decided it was in the best interest of the band and the music, our staff and supporters, in order to pursue our artistic and personal goals outside the current framework, to stop all our activities by the end of 2012.

Since the beginning the “ROSE” has played a central role, both thematically and symbolically, for Versailles. The “ROSE”, which is also the title song of their 5th anniversary single, is about birth, becoming and being – in short, their story to the world.

The band will release their farewell album September 26th and tour domestically soon afterwards. On December 20th, Versailles will have their grand finale which be performed at NHK Hall in Tokyo.
