baroque officially announces revival
On September 28th, rock band baroque officially announced their revival through their website. They will be holding a one-man live called “baroque Re: First Live IN FUTURE” at the TOKYO DOME CITY HALL on January 6th, 2012.
baroque is a four-member band comprised of with Ryo (Vo), Kei (G), Akira (G), and Bansaku (B). The band was formed in 2001, and they made their major debut with “Gakidou” in July 2003. However, Bansaku left the band in September 2004, and baroque disbanded after holding their final live, “baroque last live mumirai -NO FUTURE-”, at the Zepp Tokyo in December 2004. Although their activity period was quite short, baroque enjoyed a high level of popularity, as they even got to perform a live concert at the Nippon Budokan.
For the first time in six years and a half, the members reunited for a free live called “Odai wa Kekkou Irimasenkara” this past July. They performed 14 songs at the live, and they told the 10,000-member audience, “We hope to gather again like this. Until then, bye bye.”

D=OUT "全身全霊LIVES" as "Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan" ED
On November 2nd, D=OUT will be releasing their second major single "Zenshin Zenrei LIVES" and it has now become known that the title track will be used as the ending theme for the variety program "Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan".
The program has been airing on TV TOKYO since 1994 and is currently airing every week on Tuesday from 20:54 to 21:54 Japan-wide.
D=OUT's new single will come in three editions, whereas the first press limited ones will include a DVD and the regular edition will contain a bonus track.

Mr.Children ends stadium tour + live DVD
This past weekend rock band Mr.Children finished their stadium tour “Mr.Children STADIUM TOUR 2011 SENSE -in the field-” on September 24th and 25th. The held the 2-day concert at the Imperial Palace Kouei Michinoku Shrine. Proceeds from the live will go to the “ap bank Fund for Japan” to help the reconstruction of areas that were effected by the Tohoku Earthquake.
The band performed for 3 hours and played 26 songs. Over the course of the two days they attracted about 50,000 people. On opening day of their stadium tour in Hiroshima they showed a video letter with the theme of “Genki no Relay”.
Mr.Children’s stadium tour pulled in about 270,000 fans and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on November 23rd. It will have 23 songs plus songs from their album “SENSE”. Takge Kouki will do the jacket art work for this release.

Ranma 1/2 -- Aragaki Yui as Tendo Akane
Aragaki will play ‘Tendo Akane’, a strong-minded high school girl with fierce martial arts abilities, which she occasionally uses on her fiancee, Ranma. She will be playing opposite to Kaku Kento and Natsuna, who will both portray ‘Saotome Ranma’. As for the characters, Hasegawa Kyoko will play Akane’s older sister, ‘Tendo Kasumi’, and Namase Katsuhisa will appear as Akane’s father, ‘Tendo Soun’. Meanwhile, Akane’s first love ‘Ono Tofu’ will be portrayed by Tanihara Shosuke, and Furuta Arata will play the role of Ranma’s father, ‘Saotome Genma’.
Aragaki commented, “I’ve dreamed about jumping into the ‘Ranma 1/2′ world when I was small, that’s how much I loved the manga. I’m surprised that I’m able to do so after all these years. Although I’m truly happy about it, I’m truthfully scared at the same time because it seems very difficult to make it into a live-action show. I will aim to make this drama satisfying for the fans of the manga, including myself. I also hope that I will be able to enjoy acting. I will do my best.”
In this special drama, the plot will exhibit elements from the original storyline, such as Akane’s discord with her father when he suddenly determines Ranma to be her fiancee, as well as Ranma’s various scuffles with enemies during his mission to find the hot spring that will cure his condition.
This live-action adaptation of “Ranma 1/2″ will be aired on NTV in December as a 2-hour special drama.

Ranma 1/2 live action
A new, live-action TV adaption of Rumiko Takahashi's famous series, Ranma 1/2 will be airing this December as a two-hour special on the NTV network in Japan.
Yui Aragaki will be playing Akane, with Natsuna and Kento Kaku playing Ranma. Kyoko Hasegawa will be playing Kasumi, with Shosuke Tanihara to play Tofu Ono. Arata Furuta will be playing Genma (Ranma's father) and Katsuhisa Namase to play Soun (Akane's father).
The script will be written by Yoshihiro Izumi.

C0DE:BREAKER Anime Adaption
Weekly Shonen Magazine teased in last week's issue that a big announcement for this week would be made. Now it's been revealed in the next issue, hitting shelves this Wednesday, that C0DE:BREAKER has been green-lit for an anime adaption.
This is the second anime adaption announcement that the magazine has made. Area no Kishi was previously announced to be getting an adaption.

Bakuman 2
The official site for the upcoming second season of Bakuman. (titled Bakuman. 2) re-opened yesterday with a preview of "Chinmoku to En," the first episode. Bakuman. 2 will be premiering on NHK's E-Tele channel on October 1st.
The second season was announced last December in Weekly Shonen Jump.
Originally created by the masterminds behind Death Note, writer Tsugumi Ohba and illustrator Takeshi Obata, Bakuman. follows Moritaka Mashiro (also known as Saiko) and aspiring writer Akito Takagi (also known as Shujin), two junior high student determined to become mangaka.

ViViD -- Fake release announcement
On September 23rd, it was revealed that ViViD’s third single “FAKE” will be officially released on November 9th!
This song has been announced the theme song for their participating love game by GREE, “Koi to Shigoto to Kimi no Produce”. From the day of opening, around 60,000 people registered for this game as it features various members’ voices for their individual characters.
This upcoming single will include a coupling song titled “Kakera” and will be available in three editions: Limited Edition A, B, and a Regular Edition. Both limited versions of this single will enclose a DVD featuring various video clips and bonus footage of their PV and making. In addition, the regular version will also include a bonus track titled, “Natsu Hana”.
