SCREW Rui leaving music industry
I've been away for a while, but I'm kind of back now, and first off is really sad news...><
Today we have surprising and sad news for fans of Visual Kei band SCREW: Rui decided to depart after playing the bass for the band for about five years.
He explains that he and the other members had several conversations about it but as of next year Rui wants to focus on different things than music. "I want to try chasing my dream of becoming a fashion designer which I'm interested in for a long time already." This is how he explains his decision of leaving the music scene at the end of the year and thanks everyone for their support until now. "Byou-chan, Kazu-chan, Mana-san, Jin-chan, I'm really happy that I was able to meet these four people and make music together with them."
There is the performance in Taiwan this weekend left as well as SCREW's country-wide one man tour. Rui's last live will be held on December 28th at Shibuya AiiA Theater Tokyo and SCREW will continue being active as four-member band.

Fans may be sad (I am too) but I think it's great to chase your dreams. Rui is an awesome bassist and talented designer, we wish him all the best no matter what path he chooses!!
