Kazuki's mother is suffering from poor health resulting in reduced brain function. According to Kazuki, she gets anxiety attacks when strangers are in the house, but is all right hen family members take care of her. As the only son in the family, Kazuki has decided that it is best for him to leave the band in order to support his family.
The members have decided that they will continue on as a 4-man band. Whilst Kazuki has also expressed his wishes that Royz should continue on.
Each member has also written on their thoughts and feeling about this sad news on their blogs.

M_O: I said this before, but I'll say it again...really seems like this year is not a good year for bands. Many bands have already lost members, gone on indefinite hiatus or broken-up...Although this is very sad news for all Royz fans (I myself being quite fond of them), we hope that everyone will be understanding and continue to show their support for Kazuki, his family and Royz.
