[Review] Summer Sonic 2012 Tokyo

So first off, for anyone who doesn't know yet...Summer Sonic is a huge music festival held in Japan, Osaka and Tokyo, during the summer holidays very year.. The festival is usually 2-3 days long and consists of international and local artists.

This year, Summer Sonic was held on the 18-19 August 2012 with an awesome line-up of many different artists.

I was lucky enough to attend the Summer Sonic in Tokyo this year!!!

SUMMER SONIC 2012 TOKYO  @QVC Marine field & Makuhri Messe
Thousands of people were brought together in ±33˚C heat in order to stand at atleast 1 of 6 different stages in Tokyo. This years' Summer Sonic consisted of everything from ONE OK ROCK to Greenday to Nelly Furtado, coldrain, Rihnna, Mayday, Hoobstank to Garbage and many many more even including a short excerpt of THRILLER LIVE!!

Generally humans believe in personal space especially when it comes to strangers...but during this music fest, a lot of that seems to fall away. Hundreds of people pressed together watching a group of people on stage whilst jumping, waving, screaming, sweating and singing on at the top of their lungs...and don't forget the really loud sound system....really what more could you possibly want?!

Being able to see so many bands that I like all within the span of 2 days is really awesome~seriously, the organizers and sponsors  really deserve a huge congrats and thanks!!

Whether watching you're favourite band, walking to another stage, or simply watching a band you do not yet know, Summer Sonic is awesome! For me, watching one of my all time favorite bands was well enough worth it for me, but even just watching some other bands for the first time exposes you to so much more great music.

Unfortunately, I could't take any pictures during the lives (since they really strict on that) but Summer Sonic is definitely a 'worth-while-have-to-experience' event. If you missed it this year....fear not there's still next year!! Make it a priority to experience it!!
